Behind the Painting "Mona Lisa" by Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo da Vinci painted his masterpiece called "Mona Lisa" in a poplar wood panel between 1503 and 1506. This painting now hangs in the Louvre in Paris. This was considered as the most famous painting of all time. Just look at the details on how its been drawn. The most specific part that attracted me the most is the hair strands. Just look at it, for me Leonardo was such a genius. Some people say that the painting's subject is Leonardo's mother Caterina in a distant memory. She died in 1495. Lisa del Giocondo's job was to be the model only.

This painting was so amazing. I was so speechless when it comes to the details in it's background. The environment behind Mona Lisa for me, is very relaxing. The clothing is highly detailed, just look at that curves. But there's something that bothered me, I was really looking for her eyebrow. According to the internet, the original Mona Lisa had eyebrows. So it really bothers me just by looking at it. I'm amaze on how he painted the details in the water. It's like Leonardo painted Lisa del Giocondo outside. The whole painting was a pure satisfaction for me.

Mona Lisa's smile inspired many writers, singers, and painter. The size of the canvas is 30-1/4 x 21 inches. There also a rumors that one painter imitated the Mona Lisa. The imitator, imitated the painting from every brush strokes until the coating. But the differences is that the imitator change the looks of Mona Lisa. It had felt more alive. But nothing can compare to the original artwork of Leonardo da Vinci. The genius who struggled in every inch of the way to paint this masterpiece.
